Located in the upper part of Barcelona, this home is transformed through a renovation by Reforma tu hogar (Terrassa), in which lighting is integrated from the outset as an essential part of the architecture and interior design.
The project aims to create a warm, elegant and comfortable atmosphere, combining ambient, functional and decorative lighting to meet the different needs of each space while maintaining visual coherence.
Indirect lighting integrated into the ceiling coves becomes one of the home’s defining features. Its subtle presence complements the architecture, adds depth and creates an enveloping glow that softens forms and enhances materials.
The continuity of light visually connects the different rooms and reinforces a palette defined by wood, neutral tones and contemporary finishes. In the living areas, the lighting also complements the way the space opens onto the terrace, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and naturally extending the connection between indoors and outdoors.
The different areas of the home are lit using the Munich, Munich Mini, California, California XL, Alaska, Roma XL Black and Milano luminaires, selected to meet the specific needs of each space and maintain a consistent lighting language throughout the project.
The result is a serene, sophisticated interior, where light is no longer an added element but an integral part of the architectural language itself, bringing comfort and enhancing every space.
