The architectural lighting of the B1B2 Building, located in Paris’s 13th arrondissement, transforms the façade into a vibrant and recognisable feature of the city’s night-time landscape.
The project combines vertical lines of light in blue and white tones, integrated both into the building’s exterior envelope and into the glazed areas on the ground floor. The solution enhances the building’s geometry, emphasises its verticality and creates a contemporary visual identity without altering the overall architectural composition.
Luz Negra’s PARIS and MUNICH profiles were used for the project.
The PARIS profile was used to integrate compact, continuous lines of light into different elements of the façade. Manufactured from high-purity aluminium, it stands out for its versatility and compact dimensions, allowing lighting to be discreetly incorporated into surface-mounted applications.
The MUNICH profile was used to create the lighting elements with the greatest visual presence. Its architectural format provides a wide and uniform light-emitting surface, making it ideal for producing the vertical lines that run across the façade and frame the building’s glazed areas.
Manufactured from high-purity aluminium, it can be surface-mounted, suspended or installed as a wall light with direct and indirect illumination. It can also house the drivers internally, ensuring a clean and fully integrated installation. The 6-metre lengths make it possible to create large-scale continuous compositions.
The result is a dynamic and elegant lighting scheme that reinforces the contemporary character of the B1B2 Building and turns its architecture into a visual landmark at night.
