Within the Digital Impact exhibition located at the Disseny Hub Barcelona (from 28th April to 27th August 2023) we can find Oasis. The installation is the work of Antoni Arola and includes digital luminaires designed and manufactured for this purpose by Luz Negra.
Oasis is a meditation space that immerses us in the colours of the celestial dome, from the blue hues of clear days to the multiple tone changes that the sky gives us during each dusk and dawn. Oasis invites us to slow down and focus our attention and senses on a journey through the skies of the planet.
From the colour explosion of the Northern Lights to the murky skies produced by sandstorms, hurricanes or even pollution. In addition to a sensory immersion, this work is a wake-up call to keep in mind the conflicts of the atmosphere, one of the main political issues in the era of the climate crisis.
About the author:
Antoni Arola is a designer (National Design Award) and, since 1994 he runs his studio in Barcelona. Arola's artistic research revolves around an essential and valuable element: light.
